Postby tanked76 » Mon Aug 24, 2015 1:32 pm I am new at all of this pro audio and just want to make sure I hook up everything correctly and whether I have enough power, to much power or not enough. I've read the tech form on the amp power and it still blows my mind. Sorry for any stupid questions in advance.

The following is what I have

Pyle P2002AbI receiver/2000 watt amp which is what I plan on using for the radio and blue tooth. It has 2 mono RCA dedicated for subwoofer output and 1 RCA dedicated for preamp output. 600 watts @ 2 ohms 460 watts @ 4 ohms 0 watts @ 8 ohms.

One Peavey IRP2 3000 DSP. Rated Power 2ch x 8 ohms: 500 watts / Rated Power 2ch x 4 ohms: 900 watts Rated/ Power 2ch x 2 ohms: 1450 watts
I plan on running the 1/4inch inputs to the preamp outputs on the pyle receiver. Is this correct?

Two PR10 •400 watts program/800 watts peak power handling
Two PR15. •400 watts program/800 watts peak power handling
Two PR SUBS •15'S 400 Watts program/800 Watts peak power handling

My question is should I run the subs off of the pyle 2 mono RCA dedicated for subwoofer output or one of the outputs on the IRP2 3000 and the two PR10 and two PR15 off the other output of the IRP2?

I do have another IPR2 3000 but it is not the DSP version if I do need more power. Can I hook this amp up as well if I need to and how?

I also have two PV215 •700 watts program, 1400 watts peak which I do not plan on using but if I wanted to hook everything up including these what would be the best way to do so.

By the way I am not a DJ or anything. This is strictly for Football tail gate parties and the reason I do not know anything about pro audio.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Help with Correct Setup.

What I'd suggest is to connect each RCA sub output from the Receiver to one channel input of the Peavey power amp (you'll need two RCA to 1/4" phone cables or adapters). Connect one subwoofer to each channel's output.

Run one PR15 off each channel of the Receiver's main output. See where that gets you before adding the PR10's.

There would probably be some smoke involved if I hook the receiver Sub RCA to the amp input. Don't think I'll try that. Thanks for the input though.

I'm not familiar with your receiver model, but the ones I have expect to run into a powered subwoofer - which is essentially the same as into your power amp, then the subs.

But, it's your rig so, have at it.

All the tops can be run off the pyle amp. Under powered but connections are there. Run the subwoofer rcas to your amp and connect that to the subs. Agree with Dave just run 2 tops and 2 subs to start.
