Hi everyone,
I wonder if you can give me a help concerning an HK Elements system i have...?
I have : 2 Active subs, 2 passive subs, 2 EA600 amps and 6 E-435 tops, also a LINEAR 5 L-1200 SUB A.
I am a wedding musician mostly and we are 1 singer and me keyboard arranger KORG PA3x and i sing too.
We have a Presonus 1602 digital mixer...
Im having some troubles about limitting blinking a lot on the Active subs but mostly the EA600 amps wich lead me to have not much sound, i have to lower the overall volume... because of limmiting...
Normally i see that happens when bass drum and snare play together, i checked volumes and equalizations of each sound and for the overal keyboard EQ and i still have this problem im being unable to solve...
I hope with your help you can give me any idea of "what im doing wrong or what to do" ....
I think the system i have would have enough power to play for 250 people right ? also have a reinforcement for the bass with the LSUB 1200 ( i just add a little of that on an auxiliary not main) but the main problem is the whole Elements System.
Hope you can give me 5 minutes to read my message and give me your opinion because im desperate...
Best regards,
Ruifa

If you are running into limiting-then that is the limit. You need a bigger system. There is little to nothing you can do "upstream" to reduce the limiting.

One little trick you can try is to put a piece of black tape over the limit lights and run the system until you hear it start to have a problem.

You may find that those pieces of tape will "make" the system louder-------------------------------------------

It works for old Crown DC300s----back in the day of course.

You can't always hear the distortion at the point that the amp is "running out of gas".
