How many mics into a 4ch mackie ?

Really ironic situation at my gig today. I've got a 32ch Midas verona which i used 3-4 channels - 2 mics and one ipod.

Most of the acts are dance with backing music.

And then I get one live band which is self contained with their own console.. i get a L & R out of it so now my channel count is up to a whopping 5.

And I count the number of mics going into this console.... 13 ! sigh....

this is hilarious. Never seen a band push that many mics into a 4 channel mixer before. Silly hippies indeed.

I was having kinda a crappy day, but this made me smile. Thanks for that. :)
