Re: How to take apart an E609You might try just pulling or prying the grill off carefully. I had a dead e604 and the whole thing was press fit together. I used a bent pointy awl to pull the grill out, and then pressed in on the XLR and the whole capsule and XLR pins came out of the front of the mic. I think it's pretty common sennheiser practice to just press fit and glue the grills on, the MD421 is like that as well.
