I was thinking about SNR and not hitting the Tx limiters.Receiver-side limiting in order to protect hearing has been difficult and has gotten even more difficult with more brands of ear buds that have very different impedances. I don't have a good idea at the moment, apart from the Sensaphonics dB check unit. Of course, the ear bud model list will be very limited to Sensaphonics and some Shure models.
