Hi all. New to the site.. I suppose this will serve as an introduction as well as a rather lengthy request for advice. I have a background in electronics but have just recently (couple years) gotten into sound. My *start* was a Bose L1 compact I picked up at an auction.. Took it to a local bar, sat it up on the bar and had a blast passing around a radio shack mic singing along to youtube..lol

Now, I run a KJ/DJ show at a local bar. During the summer, I play Wed. and Thurs. inside and Fri./Sat. outdoors. Wintertime, I fall back to 2 nights inside and usually one weekend night inside. The crowd varies from 30 to 400ish. I've managed to pick up larger events for the area idol contest and band battle contests. The area I live in has many private events available from spring till fall. Also, starting this spring, I have a couple connections to nearby frat party gigs running sound. I'm looking to expand my system to be able to accomplish all of this. I started with mostly inexpensive gear but have been upgrading along the way.

Breakdown of what I currently have:

Mains: 2 Peavey SP4s
Subs: 2 Cerwin Vega JE36c folded horns, 2 Behringer VP1800S 18" Subs, 4 EV TL3512 18" Subs (not using.. came from a fixed installation)
Monitor: 1 Kustom powered 12" wedge
Amps: 2 Behringer EP4000s
EQ: Behringer ULTRAGRAPH PRO FBQ3102 EQ
Crossover: Behringer CX2310 Super-X Pro
Mixers: Yamaha MG206C (recent purchase), 2 Behringer XENYX X1204USBs
Rack: 16 space road case w/ top mixer mount and side tables

What I need to be able to do:
1: Sound for my steady gig. I'm currently "training" someone to run the gig when I'm booked elsewhere. I'm working on putting together a rig just for this gig.
2: Sound for bands in a indoor party setting and also larger outdoor events(@2k people)
3: Smaller private events. Mostly parties, weddings, ect. I think my KJ/DJ rig will be fine for this.

What I need/want (my wife defines everything as wants while I feel they're needs..lol) to add:

Mains-- I really like my Peavey SP4's... I want to use those for my larger kit and add a set of SP2's for the KJ/DJ setup.

Subs-- I've been happy with my Cerwin Vegas so far. For my larger kit, I'd like to add another pair for a total of 4. I would use the Beheringers for the KG/DJ setup.

Amps-- I'm really not sure here. I've had good luck with the EP4000's. I had planned on moving one of these to the smaller kit to run both the SP2's and the Beheringer subs. I wanted to add a iNuke 6000 to my larger kit to run the 4 vegas but after reading some reviews, I'm not sure it will push them. Maybe two? Or should I go a different direction?

Mixer-- So far, I'm satisfied with what I have. The Yamaha mounts on my rack and is big enough for most band setups I'll be seeing. The Beheringer mixers have been great for my KJ/DJ show so far. I don't know of a reason to replace either at the moment.

Eq's-- I've been debating a driverack.

Monitors-- The 12" Kustom has worked fine for my KJ/DJ show but it's not even close to being decent enough for a band monitor. I want to add 4 powered monitors for my larger rig. I've looked at a few but I'm still undecided. I really liked QSC K12's I tested but I don't want to spend what they cost.. I'm hoping for something decent in the $300 to $500 range. Any ideas?

What do you folks think? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Eddie
