I am planning to replace my boat-ankers QSC5050 and QSC2450 with some lightweight amplifiers.
Looking at iNuke3000
Currently driving 2 Cervin-Vega subs with 5050 and 2 JBL MRX500 series with the 2450
Wanted to change to 4 iNuke3000, one for each speaker running in bridged mono.
I'm using a DriveRack for my speaker management.

Pros and Cons?

Re: iNuke3000

Hello

I have two iNuke 6000 DSP - models - essentially same as four 3000 - with built-in DSP they have been very nice for my setup - price is less and you only need four rack-spaces. Had them over two years now without problems.

Have had 4) nu4-6000 in service for about a year and change in a budget power amp rack. I Also have a friend with a inuke 6000 on sub duty for a little over a year on his main rig. So far so good, but i did have a couple of issues with the nu4-6000 amps, but honestly behringer took care of right away. Now all seems well...

Sound quality wise they aren't bad honestly, would I prefer a powersoft or lab gruppen? , of course! .... but bang for the buck they are pretty good, I'd keep a backup in the rack just in case for that price though. They're a little noisy on horns for bi amp duty but it's manageable for MOST gigs. I still prefer a class a/b on horn duty, but they rock my subs pretty hard compared to our rmx5050 ....

I have NU4-6000 and NU-6000 amps in service for over a year also. No issues. What was a shocker for me was that I expected it to work OK, but it works very well and they have more testicular fortitude than I ever expected for 350 bucks, more than I expected for an amp costing a grand or more. And I am accustomed to all the other overpriced pro stuff out there. Quality of the sound was neck and neck with some of the greats also. It has only one problem that I see, it is a valve from the power plant directly to your speaker, not much storage. A few big blasts and you are at the mercy of the power source. Make sure your PD is ready for action, you can't just plug this into the under bar outlet for the band and expect it to be problem free. If you do not give these things a big enough hose they will get thirsty and fast.
