Calling all SRX712m users!!!
Starting to piece together amp racks to power these puppies. A few question for those of you who own/use/destroy these wedges:
1- What are you powering them with?
2- Are you bi-amping or running passive?
3- What kind of music are you dealing with?
Basically, I'm trying to figure out if there is a large enough benefit to biamp these things. I'm aiming for as much SPL as possible when needed, and something that isn't going to break my back, or the bank.
A few things:
-I DO NOT need an amp with DSP functions. I already have Lake processing available, and would prefer to use that.
-I plan on running wedges in pairs most of the time.
-I will not considering bridging amps as an option.
My goal is to have 4 mixes in 6RU of rack space(10 space rack- 2RU for DSP, 2RU for I/O, 6RU for amps).
So.... What's everyone using?
