A few festivals ago, a 'press play' artist left behind a Stanton laptop stand.

i've been finding it very useful to clear up workspace (at patch, RF, console, etc), but find it just a little too tall to be comfortable.

Anyone know of a similar stand (dead simple to deploy - not interest in 'some assembly required' stands, and compact when stowed), that is shorter (1/2 - 3/4 height), but will still support a ham handed person with a full sized Mac Air?

While I can't make a recommendation, just a Google of "laptop stand" comes up with more designs and options than one could imagine, including the Stanton.
Take a look at the photos - everything from DIY cardboard to some very sophisticated, rather sexy and expensive stands. Pick your poison.

Also, I think there are threads on here and PSW about supporting laptops at FOH.
