My goal was to soften the edge of the Line 6 dropout statement without avoiding the fact of the matter. The prototype explanation makes sense to me, time will tell. Even if the dropouts I experienced aren't improved by future design changes, the thing is a gift at its price point. If I lived with those units long enough I'm pretty sure I could figure out how to reduce or more likely eliminate the dropouts - possibly at a reduced maximum channel count, or just getting the RF I/O a bit closer, or both.
