Sad news. I remember listening to Helm's interview with Terri Gross on "Fresh Air" with a couple of songs from the Dirt Farmer album and had to go to the NPR archive... that was in Dec 2007. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago...

Terri Gross was an absolute joy to work with. I have a great respect for people who help you help them, and she certainly did just that. Just because of that experience, I try to listen in to Fresh Air when I can. Her interviews are interesting and I certainly enjoy the various people she has on the show.
