Re: Looking for a PC thats like a mac mini. Shuttle has lots of options. Asus/Acer/Lenovo all have small form factor options also. here is one that I find to be a rather good deal if you have a spare copy of XP sitting around. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856101096 Otherwise a lenovo option like this is a good choice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883108535 half the price of a refurb mac mini. only thing is the Lenovo doesn't have a CD Drive, but that hasn't stopped me. If this is to remote an 01v96 with USB and then Remote into it, I would just bypass the headless unit and just pay the extra 20-30 bucks for a netbook. like this Samsung guy. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834131108 I have the NC10? i think it (2 years old now) and it works just as good as the little nettop i had in the rack. Pluses are that I actually have a monitor/keyboard to access it if I can't over the network at a show, so I can see whats going on. I have my netbook and LE1600 in a "Remote Backpack" as I call it that I grab when i know i'm going to be connecting wirelessly to my 01v96. Open up the rack, plug in the cat5 cable i have in the rack to the Access Point mounted in there. Power it up, and tuck it onto the shelf.
