Re: Looking for speaker processor options prefer 4 x8 , or EV factory setting capable

As far as I know, ALL the EV preset information is accurately transferred as one-to-one data across all their processors (within the limits of the functions in the processor, of course-- for instance, no FIR in the DC-one). So, if the preset exists for one processor, it exists for all.  You may have to transfer the settings by hand (not all use the same interface, or software), but the preset data will be correct.  This is not necessarily true for other manufacturers.

It's even, in theory, possible to construct 'proper' presets for combinations of EV cabinets that never had a 'factory' preset by extracting data from 2 presets & melding it, although this is a little complicated and involves several pieces of software (and it may suffer from anomalies due to crossover frequencies, out-of-band combining, etc.).

EV is very helpful in 'porting' their recommended presets to non-EV processors for serious users (and I'd guess your quantity of XW wedges would qualify), IF they have the processor you're using in their lab.  It's less likely to happen for an older processor, or a less common brand.  They should have DN9848 settings ready to go for you, since KT was tied to EV pre-Bosch.

I've used the DC-One on a number of projects, and it's a very capable processor with some quirky user-interface choices, and a great set of features.  Once you get a grip on the (couple of) quirks, I think you'd like it.  The price is attractive.

I found 'talking' to the DN9848 via laptop to be an incredible pain in the butt, and talking to a system of several DN9848s linked was way beyond a pain in the butt.  I'm sure others find it easy, but I found it so frustrating that I vowed never to use them again unless a client insisted.
