I saw a thread from 2016 complaining of the same thing with Reaper, but was never resolved. Signal is great on the board, but coming into the DAW it’s minescule. I don’t have this problem with Xair products, but I do frequently with X32, but not always. It has to be a setting somewhere...

Have you checked with any other DAWs to discover if the problem only exists with Reaper? Even a demo copy of another DAW should answer that question. Does this happen every time you try to record or is it intermittent even with the same settings between recordings? Does the problem occur with different computers and copies of Reaper? The USB / whatever card output patching UIs are very different between the X32 and the X Air devices with the X32 affording lots more opportunities for mis patch. That alone would be a place to spend extra time on. Detail your trouble shooting steps thus far and people can offer better suggestions.
