Anyone know what thread/length these are? I want to put my panels back on and the screws are long since missing. Yamaha can only give me a part number and can't (won't) tell me what size the screws are. I have a feeling they're #4-40, but I could be wrong. Anyone?

Brian,

They are likely metric. A #4-40 is an ANSI screw size. If it looks to be "about" that size, it's probably an M3.

Brian,

Please share what you discover. I'm missing a few in mine (no, no, the LS9) as well. Thanks.

Kirby

Kirby, if you wouldn't mind taking out one of the screws and tell me what the thread length is, type of head (button, pan, etc) and drive type (Philips, etc.) that would help a lot. I have enough spare bags of screws I can figure out what the threads are pretty easily.

Re: LS9-16 Side Panel screws

It would be the longer ones. Looks like a 3/4" button head Philips drive.

FWIW, 4-40 is too small and 8-32 is just barely too big. I'm going to go through my metric stock and see if I have any M3.5 or M4 laying around.

Re: LS9-16 Side Panel screws

So the ones that hold the side panels in are M4-0.7x20mm pan head (or approximately 20mm long...could be 19mm). The smaller ones I believe are M3, but I couldn't find any M3 screws among my hardware yet. I will continue looking and let you know what I come across
