Both are 1u mix engines with similar (the same?) specs. Neither have preamps or faders (the main difference between the Midas and Behringer products), so what is the difference?

Possible, but not yet, 96k capability.
So, it could theoretically control a DL stage box. Maybe. Sometime in the future.......

Yeah, that seems to sum it up. The rear looks identical. Less buttons on the front, which does't matter if you are using the iPad interface. I wonder if that single knob is better or worse than the multiples on the core. It sure does look prettier though.
And, yeah, that Midas name makes it ok in some places where the B name is banned. Silly, really.

We reviewed M32C on Winter NAMM, here is a video:

No difference found, just face and price. I have X32Core for backup of my M32 system, it works with DL16 and DL 251.
In the video Chase told - "a Midas 32in solution for $3000". So just a name.
About 96k - I almost sure, once released it will work on both M and X systems since they have same CPU.
