I'm really impressed with mine, just got the wifi version that I can tether to my iPhone. AudioTools and SmaartTools runs fantastic on an iPad2! Then get Splashtop remote ($10) for both your iPad and your MacBook Pro, and now you can see your MacBook Pro's screen in real time--I'm really blown away with the speed of this screen sharing/remote desktop utility! Then when you have the money saved up, replace the screen on your MBP. iFixit has some wonderful documentation to do this kind of surgery, and I get good prices on Mac parts and tools from http://www.pbparts.com Already replaced the display on my wife's MacBook, took about 2 hours. Get yourself a spudger tool from them, it will make dis assembly much easier! A micro screwdriver set and a set of jeweller's cases to keep track of all the screws are helpful as well! Edit: Oh, and I just got a new Targus 360 degree rotating stand/leather case, protects my iPad2 really well, and is a perfect stand to prop up my iPad on a mixing console. Make sure you get a case for the iPad2, and not for the original iPad, different thicknesses!
