Mic stand for a 6' 4"+ singer OR a mic stand extension

One of the bands I work with has a singer that is tall, I'm thinking he's over 6' 4". Right now, I am using the Atlas SMS5B (stacking stands) and the height reaches 60.5".

I was thinking about adding a LO-2 onto the stand for a 3" extension; but I think I am looking for something a little longer.

Also, Tripod & Boom stands are not acceptable, the stand has to be a straight with a round base stand.

Pick up an Atlas MS-20(e) and an Atlas MS10C(e). Remove the upper section from the MS20 and the base from the MS10. The 2 section MS10 will fit into the lower section of the MS20, giving you a full-height 3-section stand that will go up to ~8'. If that's not tall enough, I'd suggest your singer learn to handhold the mic...

This. I'm 6'4" and I sing. This is the only straight stand that really works for me. Ends up being a little heavy but I'm not the stand tossing type so....

He could always do the "Freddy Mercury"

;)

You go to all this trouble and the singer just picks the mic up and holds it the whole time.

Yup. Sort of like the diva who just has to have a very particular wireless mic, then leaves it on the stand the entire time...
