Hello all. A multi room, multi use, venue I've been working with has been renting the top level Shure UHF wireless for the "mission critical" events in their "big concert room" but the $6k price tag for the two channel receiver and a pair each of belt packs with Countryman E6s and hand held SM58s is a bit more than they want to invest based on the number of times a year they need "the good stuff". But their banquets gal says her clients are constantly asking for a hand held wireless for them to use in the main bar and restaurant areas. Each of those has an installed QSC "foreground" system and the bar actually has a wired and configured XLR input controlled by the Qsys touchpad. But that input is apparently line level. So I'm asking for recommendations for a current model wireless set with, preferably, line level out on an XLR. Single channel would probably be fine and the working range in these rooms is less than 25 feet transmitter to receiver. In recent years my "go to" "cheap" wireless has been the Sennheiser ew 135 G3 but it doesn't have enough "gas" to drive line level, at least not with your average banquet "hold the mic near the waist" user ;-). What are you all using in this kind of situation. Moderator, please move to an alternate forum as you deem appropriate. Cheers, Gramps
