Just bought a new Midas M32C and am trying to connect it to the software app and the device doesn't show up on the list. I can see my other devices on my network but for some reason this M32C isn't on the list. I can ping it through terminal and CMD and I get returns. Anyone out there have this issue before??

That sounds like one of the standard networking issues with equipment now a days. Something is most likely wrong with an IP address setting somewhere. Hook up the M32c directly to your computers networking port (with Nothing else connected including wireless) and see if it works. Then compare the IP addresses of the M32c and all of your other things to see if the first 3 octets are the same if they aren’t it will most likely not work until they match. And usually the subnet mask needs to be 255.255.255.0. on everything. You can switch the IP address to be DHCP but I have found for stability I like all of the devices on the Audio network to be static. What kind of computer are you using and what operating system is it running?

Dear Dave,

Please allow me to introduce myself; my name is Alexander and I am a Care Technician at MUSIC in KIDDERMINSTER UK where we service and manage spare parts for all MUSIC brands.

Since you are successfully pinging the unit, I suspect your Firewall is blocking the software from communicating with the device, try adding an exception or disabling and see if that helps.

If that does not help, would you be able to contact our technical support team to discuss the problem in more detail? You can reach us at [email protected] on +1-702-800-8290 (US) or +44 1562 732299 (UK).
