I can't speak specifically for this gear, but in general I like to store things how they are meant to sit. Just figuring that's how everything is mounted inside the unit it seems logical. May not be helping at all, but helps me sleep at night.I don't like to leave in the trailer, as the gear heats and cools rapidly. But if you let it settle in to an environment and evaporate moisture before power up it is likely fine.
