Midas Pro1

Re: Midas Pro1

Sorry for your troubles Randy.

You should be able to just remove the torx screws around the top section of the desk (where the faders are) and raise that easily enough to get to the jack. I've not been inside so don't know how the jack is on the board. I'm afraid it is probably like most computer motherboards where it is completely encased and the whole jack would have to be unsoldered and replaced. If you could find the super small nosed needle nose pliers or a decent set of small tweezers....could you grab enough to pull it out??

Good luck.

Re: Midas Pro1

My head phone male plug broke off in the jack so the headphone jack isn't working. How hard is it to take the board apart to fix this? Can I just take off the side cover to access the jack?

Re: Midas Pro1

Update: I tried the tweezers but I couldn't reach the plug.Tried the screw and that didn't work intially. So I took the top off and to my surprise the head phone jack was not part of a circuit board. It was easy to remove. Once removed,I tried the self taping screw again and was able to retrieve the plug end. Midas did a great job designing these boards. The jack can easily be replaced without soldiering. It also looks easy enough to replace faders or their belts if need be.I didn't get a chance to test the jack but see no reason why it shouldn't work. If it was damaged I will call the Midas service number and buy a new one. So thanks Forrest,David and Keith for your help.

Hi Randy

Thanks for the update. Glad you got it sorted.

Re: Midas Pro1

Thanks Keith,
this is what I like about Midas. IMO, they have great customer service. When I first got my Pro1,it took me several weeks before I was confident enough to take it out on a job. But thanks to a very patient Kyle Chirnside,I was able to set up the console and use it on a job. That was 2 years ago and I have been very happy with the performance and relilabilility of my Pro1.And it's good to know Midas monitors this site and is willing to offer assistance when needed.I see no other manufacturer on here that does the same.
