Mixer amp gain structure

Can I use the piezo tweeter method to set best s/n on a high impedance mixer amp used for transformer coupled systems. These things do not have input gain control neither do I know where unity is on the rotaries.

One knob per channel mixer-amps are designed precisely so that you do not have to worry about things like gain structure...
