So I was trying to think of an inexpensive way of monitoring my X32-Rack for the few times I'm working with opening acts. I didn't want to spend the money on a wireless system and the idea of using dedicated wireless headphones was a non-starter.
Then I found this Amazon.com: AudioMate AM8112 1-Way Wireless Digital Audio Adapter (Black): Electronics
[h=1]AudioMate AM8112 1-Way Wireless Digital Audio Adapter[/h]It works plenty well for my usage. The latency pretty much evens out by the time you get 30 ft from the mains. I'm using with my noise cancelling head phones and it's great.
It's so cheap I'm sure it will let me down eventually but soloing a channel isn't mission critical for me.
I haven't found anything else quite like it, hope it works for you too.

It operates in the 2.4Gb range which is already very saturated today. The latency you describe can get much much worse as the bandwidth gets gobbled up in the 2.4Ghz region at a gig. I would be very concerned that eventually you would get drop-outs in addition to unacceptable latency.

Still, it is priced very attractively. I can think of no way to get wireless monitoring for less money.
