Re: NBA Playoffs: Dallas edition I was disappointed when Lebron left Cleveland, perhaps not quite as much as Cleveland was. Then I would have preferred him going to NY over Miami, but now that he's there, they have accomplished a lot for only one season playing together. I didn't even expect them to make it to the finals. The Mavs are playing stronger than I expected too. "Le fraud" got a triple double last night so he was there and made an impact. He missed a few big shots in the 4th that could have turned the tide. He has always had the rap of not being able to close, and it looked like he was getting past that in his earlier series, but not last night. Both teams can't win. Mav's are looking pretty good to take one of two next games, but it will be war, just like the whole series. ===== This is a good time to refresh my complaint about the NCAA single elimination playoffs. If the Heat/Mavs were playing single elimination one team would have won 3x and the other two times. A coin toss... I hate that college kids get their penultimate college career playoff defined by only one loss. While longer NCAA series might not attract as much gambling action, and be lousy TV (even more bad games) , the kids would get a fairer shot to succeed or fail. JR
