Re: Need Nexo PS-10 mains / LS600 subs advice. I've considered that Brian. I really hadn't planned on buying any new gear this year, so all of this has kinda caught me off guard. My dealer has to return these systems by tomorrow (Friday, March 1st), so, he called to make the offer. The problem with mixing components is, you don't necessarily get the processors "sensing" capability, which continuously monitors voice-coil temperature, excursion, and voltage. The system is capable of phenomenal dynamic-range, as long as the correct components are working together. If you damage the speakers by using unauthorized components, the guarantee is voided. I was talking with a guy in the U'K., who uses the PS10TD R2 analogue processor, into a powered mixer, driving his PS10's. He also uses an FBT active sub, and he's very happy with the results. My "thing" is, I don't know that I want to "lock in" to a single system. The Nexo NEXAMP4X4, would allow me to do future upgrades (PS15 mains and RS15 subs for example) without having to change the amp/processor.
