Does anyone know if Avid will have any new offering's for the Venue series soon? It's been a will since they have released anything.

The shift in the Pro Tools market from TDM cards (which the VENUE series is also based on) to HDX (capital X) and AAX plugins seems to demand a response in the VENUE line as well.... doesn't it?
I think its a pretty safe bet.... how soon though? Don't know. I have heard rumblings though.

I think Avid is busy try to keep their company afloat with what they have. They have been selling off the non performing assets and tryihg to consolidate what they have left. They have been plauged by bad management for the better part of ten years and I don't see thing getting better before they get worse. I've always felt that, long term, the Digidesign/Avid live sound consoles weren't the wisest buy for sound companies.

What those offerings might consist of, I can't get anyone to say. Sheldon? Nope. I even tried bribing Scovi with large amounts of Dr. Pepper, to no avail.
Winter NAMM might be a good time to speculate some more...
