You say that I will be the source of the sound, but what about sounds outside of me? I like my current custom molds because in addition to providing great sound, it also excludes sounds around me(my commute on the subway). If the technology can silence the world around me in addition to letting me listen to something, I would pay some good money for it. However, if I have to wear earplugs or earmuff in addition to the new technology to replace my current listening scenario, then I wouldn't give it a second thought.
