Ok,I am on vacation for two weeks and have discovered the cottage my wife and I rented has no Internet and there is VERY poor cell coverage. Yes, I should have checked, I suppose, but who the heck rents vacation houses without Internet in 2012?!!!
My phone is a portable wifi, I have unlimited data, but as I said above, the cell coverage is awful. I can get 1 or 2 bars in one spot in this house if the wind is blowing in the right direction. It took about 6 attempts and 20 minutes to get this page up. Who here knows enough about cell service to know if there is any way to construct a "booster" antenna for a cell phone from household materials? Like aluminum foil or hardware store type stuff? A collector of some sort? HELP ME PLEASE!!!! I have a pile of stuff in the cloud, my iPad kindle app version of McCarthy's book, all of my music is Spotify, Netflix is my TV, etc, and I very well may finish going insane with absolutely nothing to do except watch seagulls and the tide go in and out for two weeks. Ugh. About all I have for entertainment is the Ray-End Subs app that I "won" a code for and purchased anyways because I just figured it was the right thing to do.
