I am new to these forums and was hoping to receive some advice as I am delving into basic live sound.I was hoping to record the performances of local folk artists at clubs and cafes and am curious about what gear I should use.My audio-production teacher suggested a simple, portable interface such as an m-audio box and stereo pair of microphones, preferably thin condensers mics such as a set of AKG perception 170's.I'm just wondering if there are other options I should look at an if there might be other approaches I could take to this.
