That's totally cool Milt.... I think the older RF stuff is really neat to look at!! I get anxious on a big gig when I see an RF mic drop one bar of battery on the receiver display, even though I know it has hours of juice left... I can only imagine relying on these older units to get me through a show. You guys must have been on the edge of your seat the entire time!! Out of curiosity, what was the reliability of the unit that you pictured above? Did you get decent results, range, performance etc. out of it at the time? I'm sure they were not cheap units when they were originally offered!

Actually they were quite reliable, considering they were bleeding-edge tech. There was very little competition in the frequency band, and the wavelength was long enough that multipath wasn't a problem. They ate really expensive batteries, though. Audio quality wasn't great, but no one cared because it was WIRELESS, man. ^_^
