Hey , Haven't been on the forum in a while. I am needing some help with something, I was setup to do show this past week end and It had low voltage and it came a big thunderstorm and my stuff got wet,and one side of my amp is out, Can't get nothing to come through at all, When i turned it on after drying it out , I noticed that the one of the limiter lights was very dim and then went out and then as i tried it out , I got nothing through the channel. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what might be wrong? and how hard it would be to fix or should i scrap it and go on?

If you are asking "how hard is it to fix", that indicates that you know nothing about component level electronic repair.

In that case-send it to somebody who does that for a living-or scrap it.

When they say "no user servicable parts inside", that is pretty much the case.

Yeah I don't know about fixing things like that . I was going to send it somewhere . I just didn't know if it would cost me more to have it fixed or get a different amp .

considering the amp only retails for $300... I'd expect that the shipping and repairs would be more than a new one.

It probably won't be covered under the 3 yr warenty because getting wet is not a manufacture defect.

Yeah, I don't really expect it to be under warranty at all

Re: One side of Behringer EPX2000 power amp is dead

If it is still under warranty, contact Behringer. Depending on HOW wet it got, it still may be covered. It can't hurt to call them.

If it's not covered, a $300 amp is pretty much a throw away. The tech charge to work on troubleshooting something like that would quickly approach the value of the amp. On eBay, I'm seeing a couple of them with a buy it now of $140. Unless the problem is a super easy fix, you're better off buying a replacement.

Yeah that what I was thinking about doing it seems like it would cost more to send them and repair them than just to get another amp. Thanks guys .
