PC based music player for walk in/out and more

I have been using Itunes on my MAC and am configuring a PC as a show computer and was wondering what if there were proven alternatives to Itunes that might do the trick as I remember finding the Itunes search feature on earlier versions was much more streamlined. Why don't I use an earlier version of I tunes? I cant remember which version was the one I thought was the cats meow. Features that I feel are important:

Easy to make Playlists
Be able to search by artist, song name or when added
Capability of burning CDs or music files from playlists

Not so important, but would be nice:
Wav to Mp3 converter

Fire Away


 
VLC player can do everything you asked except burn cds. Which is a bummer cause that is a convenient feature. It is exceptional at being able to play most all audio and video formats though. It's my default player on all PC setups

I've used J River media player for a few years now and it's been perfect as an iTunes replacement. VERY configurable and lots of options for audio output and fidelity as well as just UI layout etc.
