Pea stone :-(

Saturday night gig at a 50th BIRTHDAY PARTY.

Load in starts with backing the trailer 700' uphill a curving driveway because the turn around locations are occupied by the tent and the caterers. Not so bad though doing it again at 2am in the dark was not fun.

Tent set up in a courtyard with stage and dance floor. The whole courtyard is pea stone. Yuk. Pushing cases was not fun.

Oh, and it was drizzling. So, up goes the pop up and in we go.

The gig went fine, host and band were happy.

Here are a couple of pics.

Mix position is behind and off to the side. Remote mixing saves the day here.

Re: Pea stone :-(

I don't have as many cases as you do, but when I'm faced with things like this I use my two wheel dolly to move things. I just pick up my amps from the side, between the casters, and roll them into the venue.

It makes load in/out longer, but waaay easier on the back.

Yup. Big old pneumatic tires........$40 at Sam's Club. And I've seen some fork-lift attachments for ATV's. Machinery dreams........
