Anyone know why Peavey's prices seemed to "double" from just a few years ago on the QW Monitors? I remember when they were going for $799 brand new and today they're $1,359?? In fact you can find old web links from vendors where the preview shows the old price, but when you arrive at their actual website the bigger price is now in effect.

Yikes. Is that just an inflated MSRP which will be discounted back to the usual range? The QW monitor is a pretty old design, maybe something new is coming?
No, apparently the MSRP is $1800. Unless the Mandela Effect has occurred, I remember them being around $7-800 for many years. In fact, my friend who used to work for a dealer, told me he paid about $650 for the ones that I eventually bought from him. No worries though, I've located some good used ones for much, much less. LOL
