Janis Joplin would have been 70 years old today.

I remember the last thing she ever said to me, "It's your job to set this shit up and it's my job to bitch about it".

She was referring to the rather primitive monitor speakers in use at the time.

She WAS also smiling when she said it. ;-)

I don't know if Rest in Peace is the correct phrase for her... Rest in chaos. Another talent who died much too young.

It seems odd to see her geriatric contemporaries still prancing around on stage, at a least the few of them who are alive and can still get paid to do it.
