PM5D Fader Characteristics?

I mixed a set on a 5D last night and noticed 2 things again. I was with the opening act, so just a line check. During the set, I again experienced a delayed reaction effect..move the fader and a second later the level changes, and also noticed drastic level jumps with very small fader moves in the middle of the fader travel.
This is the same 5D I mix on a few times a year so have no other desk for comparison.

Unless you had Studio Manager or some other software running at the same time, it sounds like the faders need replacing.
You may be able to make the situation a little better by performing a fader calibration.

You can try blowing out any dust with compressed air. Otherwise there's a good possibility that the faders need to be replaced.
