Interesting, I know PowerSoft were talking about putting these in a sealed cabinet because they were worried that they couldn't get enough port area to avoid them being overdriven. Looks like they crammed a pretty healthy amount of port into that box. Would love to see more info.

This setup was for a carnival in Baltimore/DC area. 20 amps per side of the truck when it was last counted. Ill post up some more pictures when I get the chance..

No, this is Powersoft's own woofer technology. It has nothing to do with B&C Speakers. Moving magnet instead of moving coil, very large woofer, and a new amp to drive it.

The video was taking with a cellphone so of course it sucks but hopefully someone from MSI or anyone else family with the inner workings can chime in on performance...

curious how the moving magnet works. isnt part of the problem with conventional speaker design the mass of the speaker takes time to change direction and accelerate in the other direction? wouldnt moving the magnet instead of the coil add a ton of mass? How do they get around this part of physics?

Technically, it isn't so much an issue moving a mass; it's how accurately and powerfully that mass can be moved. Looks like they rewrote the equation, so the moving mass wasn't the limiting factor, but how poweful/accuractly they can move some amount of mass. Curious to see how well this performs. Wonder how it would work in a huge horn

They mentioned a 40 inch unit too.
Mounting the M-Force on the front of the cone would be a space saver, and putting the "hot part" available to the outside air would transfer heat better.
It would need a deep compression chamber..Wonder how it would work in a huge horn
