I have been working with Kyle from Midas Las Vegas and he's been great but I have a small problem and can't get in touch with him or the sales rep who I bought it through. I didn't realize that when you started up the console, the show you saved didn't automatically come up,that you are supposed to recall it.So while what I was doing wrong for weeks,it didn't catch up with me untill this week.So Kyle got my file back up and running. But after talking to him yesterday afternoon, when I go through the shut down proceedure and try to shut the console down,I get a message there are unsaved files.Message says" There are unsaved files.Do you really want to shut down the entire system?." So I have let the console on since yesterday afternoon.I have read where leaving it on too long can cause issues so I need to get some help soon.I have re-read the manual and looked at the videos but they seem to be of no help in fiding out what's wrong. This is my shut down proceedure.Hit store, box comes up overwrite seen, click ok.Then go to automation, click red save button. Then go to shut down. That's how I always did it.But now I am getting the message about the unsaved files.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Randy,

I've had the problem of the show file not loading on boot, but I think I narrowed it down to other users not shutting the console down properly (church install). From what you describe, your shutdown procedure is exactly what I do, and my console will load the file that was previously loaded on boot.

For your problem right now, does the console still say "not saved" in the upper left area of the screen? I encountered this the other day. I had saved a channel into the preset library and didn't realize that the preset library needs to be saved separately from the show file.

Double check that the Presets file is saved. If you click the menu in the upper left, there's a menu item called Presets that will get you there. Once there, it will look similar to the automation screen, having the same red save button that you will need to click.

Re: Pro 1 help

Hi Randy, for future reference you can find our US Midas team contact information by going to Midas Consoles, then under Contact Us, you will find USA. There you will find all of our contact information.
Regarding the issue you are experiencing, there are two ways to shut down, but the recommended way is to use the Shutdown System in the Preferences Menu. Regarding the message it sounds like you possibly have a Preset Library open and unsaved. If you goto the Files screen and select the Save Button in the top left corner this will save all files. If you have any issues with that or anything else please contact me at 425-949-9205.
