I have a Producer console mounted vertically in a rack. One of the faders does not move freely so if I change layers It does not move up to the zero position. Is there an easy fix for this, I don't want to send the mixer in, it is used every day.
Thanks,
Mick Berg

Hi Mick,

Patrick here from Behringer - MUS!C, we would like to help with this matter, if possible can you send us an email to [email protected] and our Tech team will take a look and find an appropriate solution.

Many thanks.

Re: Producer fader sticking

Is this an x32?

Could it be that the fader belt has slipped off its cog wheel? That should be fairly easy to fix. I know that there is a video on youtube somewhere.

Hi Robert.
Don't think that's it, it moves halfway up. It's a Producer so I guess it is an X32.
Thanks,
Mick

I seem to have fixed it. I held the fader knob at the zero position so it couldn't move and changed layers a few times. Now it works fine. What did I do? And will it last?

If the cog wheel was slightly loose then the friction may have caused it to get a better grip when you held it. If it will last? Probably not, but you'll never know.

I was wondering if a foreign object got in there and I un-knowingly dislodged it. I'm going to dismantle an X32 this afternoon so I'll have a better idea of how the faders work.
