Protective Wall and Floor Coverings (for an event like DayGlow)

Anybody know where I can find a similar product used by tours like DayGlow where I can protect the walls and floors of an event from neon, non-toxic, paint? Web sites would be very helpful! Looking for something that's simple, protective, and can be removed easily without scratching or leaving residue on walls. I know wall coverings will be different from floor coverings as well. Suggestions please?

Polyethylene sheeting is a pretty standard option for protecting surfaces that don't need to be walked on. It's a bit slick for floors, though. Attachment methods will depend on the wall surface - blue painter's tape works well for surfaces it sticks to, but Gaff, staples, or other install methods work as well.

For floor coverings where there will be foot traffic, something like Ram Board works pretty well. Sheets of masonite can also work if you have a way to secure them.

If you use Masonite, get the 1/4 inch thickness. I recently used the 1/8 inch stuff and it would not lie flat and created a tripping hazard, no matter how much gaff we expended. (Pressure sensitive adhesives don't like tension.) --Frank

Brewster Home Fashions is a great website for wall coverings. They have a huge selection and their products are trendy and fun!
