For me to do a small street festival I would easily be a couple grand per day. So give them a professional price and then when the topic of mr. Golden ears comes up, you'll go to the bank not feeling so bad that you had to deal with the b.s. If he comes up to you during the event, simply step back and say you mix. Of course make him give you a certificate of insurance before he touches any of your gear. You can also call him out with your talkback mic between songs. Let the band and the audience know that mr. Golden ears wants it quieter and make sure everyone knows who he is.
