I read the article and didn't really see where it explained what the advances were, other than the researcher made a small room in california sound like a large hall in boston for one piece of music. What aspects of psychoacoustics were used?
I wish the article had some sort of references, but maybe i will have to go on and search for any research/white papers under the designers name.
