Really?

I can't imagine how many people had to ask the same question before this sign needed to be put up...

Re: Really?

Ouch.
Maybe they want to plug a gennie into a house outlet to energize the house. Not a good idea - just sayin'

Yip, when we had the big earthquake here a couple of years ago, these plugs (or at least, our version of this plug) caused a lot of headaches for some of the USAR teams.
Because of the damage, utilities were cut before searching could begin, but I have heard some reports of power flowing back into the powerlines (from houses that used this plug with a genie) and energising "safe" areas. Bear in mind that a lot of powerlines were either on the ground, at head height or mixed in with rubble.

I am having a hard time imagining ANY person asking for such a plug.

Christmas tree lights. The person started at the top of the tree and ran the light string backwards...

Sent from some device, using some software, probably inconveniently. Apologies for any mistakes of grammar, spelling, or meaning.

Re: Really?

This sign has to appear only around Christmas. I've never seen it in Ace the rest of the year.

It may as well say "We appreciate your enthusiasm but respectfully decline your attempt at winning the Darwin Award this year."

I had some twist lock plug and receptacle sets for sale on kijiji. One guy wanted to buy a set for his "amp rack". When I pressed him for details, it turned out he wanted to use the receptacle (female) as a power inlet to the rack. Of course this meant the power cord he was going to make would have two male ends. I convinced him that was a BAD idea, and didn't make the sale.:uhoh:
