The Shure SB900 Li-Ion rechargeable batteries are pretty expensive with a street price @ $90+. Has anyone found a more cost effective substitute that works well? TIA.
For the older ULX, or ULX-D? The Shure SB900 battery packs are designed for the newer wireless systems that use 2x AA batteries, and won't work so well in the older ULX systems that used 9V batteries.

I haven't found anything quite as good, to be honest. It's been invaluable at the high school to have them in the charger and simply pick up a handheld and start talking with it rather than have to put batteries in from an external charger and make sure that they all charge properly. The SB900 kick ass.

Thanks to all for the valuable input. It is obviously the winter. Things are slow. I have nothing better to do than obsess over ways to save pocket change on battery costs! HA! I bit the bullet and bought the Shure batteries. I am sure I won't be sorry. Best to all.
