Redneck Traffic Jam

I was on my way to a gig when I got caught in the middle of 5 o'clock ruch hour traffic. There were over 200 riders and 20 chuck wagons.

This was for the South Texas Trail Riders Assc. The've been making this ride from Corpus Christi to San Antonio each year for the past 80 years. Rain or shine. Today it was in the 70's. It takes about 5 days to make the 150 mile trip. There's a big dance at the end of each days ride. We played for the first night. It was great fun.

I am from Washington DC, the home of many people with odd pasttimes trying to desperately convince everyone else their normal.



Of course, personally, I am a fairly well known member of the bluegrass community, and I also fly fish. Try explaining that one to someone.

I think that would be hard to do. They don't seem very aerodynamic.

Not for one that spends most of it's time on ''improved'' roads.



Although here in East Oakland it might sport 20 inch chrome ''spinner'' rims

Bah what am I kidding. this is fairly common along side the interstate in the summertime up here also.
