None of them turn it up loud enough to hurt the mix, they just need predictable clean tone. They make their pedal choices with the Twin in mind because they know you can rent a Twin virtually anywhere. Many of them specify the '65 Reissue Twin Reverb as it's an even more predictable tone and quality.
