I thought he was pretty genius. But there was definitely a cooling off. Wonder what was going on backstage. In any case, it's nice to see someone with some balls on TV.

Word in the media this AM was that he was not ''A list'' enough to be delivering those lines. Speculation was that it would take someone like Jack Nicholson to pull them off unscathed......

I hear ya Dick, but he was QUOTED before the show happened that he couldn't believe they invited him back this year and he said he guaranteed he would not be in 2011/2012.
Gervais did what any good comic is supposed to do, and I can't fault him for that. He's got enough F-you money that he can do what he wants. He's wildly successful in the UK and I honestly don't think he'll give a flying you know what people say about it.
