Having trouble with Yamaha 1608 D2 and QL1. At first could not control headamps of the RIO from the QL. Although I could mount the RIO with the QL. Tried restarting both units, resetting the 1608 back to factory default and still no control. Then I lost all signal on any channel of the RIO even by using the front panel gain control to turn up HA on the RIO. I did have this function earlier and then during the process of trying to regain HA control from the QL I lost that ability as well. No gain compensation is turned on. At a loss. This RIO is fairly new and had been functioning properly. This just started today.

Sounds like network/CAT5e issues. It was working... so what changed? I'm a member of "the last thing I touched..." club...
What does Dante Controller say about the RIO? What does R Remote do or not do with the RIO? These should confirm your cabling and R Remote will confirm the control functions separate from Dante.
