RIP Gene Clair

Just heard the news today that Gene Clair, one of the two original Clair Brothers passed away today.

I had a chance to meet Gene Clair a few years ago, and was slightly surprised to see that the founder of one of the largest production companies in the world was dressed like what you might expect a mechanic or farmer to wear, and enjoying a Fourth of July with his family. I think it spoke volumes to me about the true hardworking ethic that lead to the great company Clair is today, and had always been.

RIP Gene, every day your company and legacy inspires me to go down to my shop and work my hardest to try and live up to your standards.

It's very cool that the company wasted no time in putting up a respectful tribute on their website, and recommending donations to his caregivers as a final honor:

RIP.
Growing up in college I was a Clair fanboy, and when I moved to Nashville, my dream was to work for Clair Brothers. I have been very fortunate to work with Clair Bros. for about 4 years. I just turned 30, and looking back, I thought I knew my stuff, but I was taught so much in these last few years, that I'm so thankful for. Thank you Gene for creating a company with such professionalism.
